Healing horses – Artha Pada – Meaning – Episode Rebirth summary.
“Om. The head of the Ashva-Medha is the dawn, its eye the sun, its vital force the breath of prana, its open mouth the fire, and the body of the horse is the year.”
Thus begins the third episode of Starsoot, with the cosmic horse of the Upanishads – a living mandala whose bones are the stars, whose flesh is the clouds, whose limbs are the seasons. This is the Ashvamedha, the horse-sacrifice that sets the universe in motion, emerging from the golden egg of creation.
On this second step of the Moon’s 108-fold path (degrees 3-7 of Aries), we encounter a constellation of interlocking myths, each a key to the architecture of the soul:
The Four Horses – Hayas, Yajin, Arva, and Asva: the carriers of gods, celestials, asuras, and finally man. The horse genome as a vehicle of consciousness across worlds.
– The Chain of Andromeda – At the star Vertex, the M31 galaxy hangs on a collision course with our own, interpreted by the ancients as the binding knot of karma. The chained maiden, the pineal gland, the point of no return in the birth chart.
– The Clay of the Kumaras – At the 5th degree (the eyes of the cosmic body), the first potter shapes form from formlessness. Sanatkumara, the eternal youth, crafts the vessel that will become man.
– The Phoenix and the Sages – The star of rebirth beside the Guardian Knot of Pisces (Alrisha / Okda / Riksu). Here, Sandhya walks through fire wrapped in an invisible blanket, emerging as Arundati, the double star beside Vasishta of the Seven Sages. The wedding of heaven and Earth, encoded in every Vedic ritual.
– The Clock of the Heavens – Horologium’s pendulum swings the entire length of the zodiac, marking the Kala-chakra, the wheel of time itself. Beside it, the girdle of Andromeda – the cloth of engendered form, the pressure of embodiment.
– Jason and the Argonauts – Fifty heroes and one woman, sailing to recover the golden fleece. An old woman carried across the waters, revealed as Hera herself. A sandal lost, a covenant made, a ship built from the greater tree of language.
This episode traces the deepest architecture of the second step: from the karmic chain of Vertex, to the shaping clay of the Kumaras, to the rebirth fire of the Phoenix beside the Sages’ knot, to the clock of time and the cloth of form. All within a single horse’s pace.
The kings are the fruit, say the stars. The first kings – gods, giants, and men. But the fire of knowledge burns in languages, and they burn away, until only the fruits remain.
Welcome to the second step. The horse of the Moon continues its pace.
